Sign Painting for Food Republic

Many people think that it is great that I am able to do what I enjoy as a job, but that’s just what they perceive. Having to stand for hours, paint on top of a ladder and get into all kind of awkward positions is what makes it very challenging. Most of the time, I would ache all over the next day after painting for an entire day. Some jobs have to be done after the mall is closed and that is when all the air conditioning is shut and the space gets really stuffy.

But with all that is said, I still wouldn’t give it up for something else. Honestly, I don’t know what else I can do. I am super grateful that there are companies and organisations who are so willing to engage my services - always calling me back to do another project/ passing my contact on to someone else. To date, I have not made a phone call to anyone asking them for a job. I count all my jobs a blessing and am determined to do them all well.

“Today’s ceiling is tomorrow’s floor” Aim to do the best today and in the present. That’s how skill is honed. With that said, I can’t wait to be back at Manulife Center’s Food Republic tomorrow night to start on the 2nd stall!

More updates coming up :-)
